so i have a WIMIUS Q3 that is randomly corrupting video files in every resolution and frame rate (about 50%).

which makes me believe that i may have corrupted firmware on my cam

now im not sure how to modify camera firmware but iv been rooting/custom rom'ing my phones for many years now so im not completely lost but if someone could guide me that would be amazing!

what SD card brand, size and class (speed rating) were you using when you had corrupt video files?
did you use the 'Format' feature in the menu, under settings, on the camera?
Did you check for dust or debris in the card _slot_ and on the card itself?

I have a F60B camera that has 'crane' hardware...similar to some Wimius Q1 and Q6 cameras and I use different SD card brands, 16GB and 32GB, all class 10 (UHS1). I often record 2.7k video files at 31 Mbps. All SD cards and all video files are good.

How is that 64gb samsung card going?

ok so after extensive testing on both the camera and the sd cards i found that all my sd cards which are 64gb samsung evo's (class 10 UHS1) are completely garbage... using tools like h2testw_1.4 i found that 14.9gb of the 64gb are usable! which i a real shame as they are all genuine Samsung cards...

so i think my problem is found

        thanks for your help petesimon

i will be uploading my firmware backup later in the week tho. incase it might help someone else in the future!

Toshiba Exceria UHS-1, U3, http://ali.onl/DyQ works fine in all my cameras, even works in Eken H8 Plus in 4k at 59 Mbps. I purchased 32GB card from that "AE FQY" store myself and it's fine.

But maybe there is another cause for the corrupt video files. What camera do you have?
Is the main chip inside one of these: Allwinner V3(s), Novatek 9(xxxxx), Ambarella A(xxx), GeneneralPlus, ?
Please give a website link to the online shop from where you got the camera.

And if the main chip is Allwinner V3, then first please make a backup copy of the camera's original firmware. Watch this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrhPxpFFMrc

thanks. this camera has an Allwinner V3 chip. you can make a backup copy of the original firmware using the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrhPxpFFMrc BUT you need a 100% working sdcard inserted into the camera. The card could even be 1 GB, but at least Class 6 speed.

I recommend that you test all your micro sdcard's in a computer, using CrystalDiskMark or similar program.

Welcome. I can recommend a firmware for you when you share a backup copy of your camera original firmware.
You can upload your firmware file to this online shared folder

          https://www.dropbox.com/request/NUqzrXSnEOR72QUz3kLn

The Exceria card has been working well for me again and again in all my cameras. Even copying mp4 files from it when it's in a computer is faster. Be sure to get a U3 speed card. The symbol looks like [3]

Also see this topic thread about SD cards.
