  • Don't know which camera is this.

Hello guys! I just bought an action camera, I did it on small street shop in Tenerife. I don't know which firmware it using. Is there any chance to make video quality better? Thanks for any help.

    Hi,

It looks like a low-end iCatch or Generalplus... Could you show us UI screens of video shooting mode and settings menu?

Seems to be iCatch Sunplus SPCA1628 chip and it usually comes wth a VGA sensor.

Same problem here with one of my cams, was sold as 4K H9 but only records in 1080p and only IN . AVI

Now I want to know which cam it is so I can update the firmware to a good working one.
      Here are some pictures :

on AVI file? oh darn. It's not any kind of Eken, or clone. Maybe an Allwinner V3 camera that records in 2.7k30fps in mp4 files from Gearbest would be better.

looks like the menu screen of an old Novatek NT96660 SJ8000 / Extral SJ9000 camera. or maybe like a "F69" camera.
would you please post video samples from your camera here.
upload to google drive or dropbox is preferred.

Thanks for the details. Very bad Ebay seller who sold me this 4k camera , as bad as the cam itself. So I think a firmware update will not do the trick getting better quality ?
