    I see now that gp6 and gp7 uses the: Socionext SC2000A ,

    What are the options?
What tools is this guy using on the teardown here:

Will it be possible to make the Hero6 v1.6 firmware work on the Hero7?

The Hero6 firmare should technically work for the Hero7,
Someone did a teardown and saw that the Hero7 is almost the same as the hero6 but with 2gb of memory and some apple chip.....

It should be similar to the hack on Gopro Hero to allow Hero5 firmware and described here: https://gethypoxic.com/blogs/technic...-a-gopro-hero5

ReelsteadyGo is an amazing stabilization software for Gopro which uses the gyro data to stabilize the gopro footage,
On newer firmwares gopro changed something in the way the gyro data is logged (they probably added/removed a fiilter)
So for best results you need a gp6 with older v1.6 fw found inside a link in the reelsteady Go faq here: https://www.reelsteady.com/pages/go-faq

Will AFT work for this ? how are all the changes done?
Working...
