I have not faced any adverse heating issue with this camera.

Hello nutsey!
My mijia 4k is bricked after I tried to update firmware.
And I trying to fix it with your solution.
I installed DirectUSB but shorting circuit pins isnt working. My device is under bootlooping like as gregzapia.
connect and disconnect is looping every second with computer.
How can I fix it? Please help me sir.

Hi,

Make sure you're doing it like this:
1. Connect camera to your PC with USB cable. DirectUSB should be running.
2. Short circuit the pins not touching the memory slot.
3. Press power button.

Actually, I'm doing exactly what you said.
But before short circuit the pins and press power button,
Camera starts connect and disconnect per everysecond just after I conected camera usb to my computer
So Im hearing usb connecting and disconnect sounds again and again since last night. It makes me crazy

anyway I also tried short circuit the pins under the microSD slot. (connect two of gold dots)
and then press power button. Nothing happening.
It is just connecting and disconnecting. I will send you the mail with screenshot of my AmbaUSB window.

Hello! Glad you have this firmware as I bricked my mijia 4K trying to update the formware. Actually I have no clue on how it happened, but it is not working anymore, bootlooping 1 per second.
DO you know how to apply this formware? I tried to use ambausb, set for A12S/DDR.nand, but as it's bootlooping, I can't have ambausb hook the software for sending the firmware. I tried on the microSD, but doesn't work. If you know about any trigger or io to short to enable a kind of bootcode hook, that would be nice.

You need to use DirectUSB 2.2.28.0 and short-circuit pins in microsd slot.

I have the same issue to, even when shot circuiting the pins under the sd. The cam is bootlooping. Have you solved your problem since then?
