  • Hisilicon cams hacks.

Many Hisilicon 3556/9 cams use the UBIFS filesystem to store the rootfs partition. This type of filesystem can be unpacked/mounted and packed back after editing pretty simply. So we can add this command:
    Code:
    if [ -e /app/sd/script.sh ]
    then
      sh /app/sd/script.sh
    fi
to /etc/init.d/rcS in order to run any shell scripts during boot. For example we can try dumping or modifying memory offsets with himd and himm commands.

Hi. I am completely noob in this but have many enthusiasm about this cam. Can you give me step by step guide how to complete this hack? Links on samples, datasheets, manuals will be good too. Thank you.

      Code:
      if [ -e /app/sd/testscript.sh ]; then
        cp /app/sd/testscript.sh /app/
        chmod +x /app/testscript.sh
        sh /app/testscript.sh
        rm /app/testscript.sh
      fi

Ok. That code should be in /etc/init.d/rcS. How place it there? How I can
unpacked/mounted and packed back after editing
        ?
        Also what mean
        himd and himm commands
        ?
