I'm not quite sure about the reason, but maybe this SoC needs more expensive hardware components to encode H.265 comparing to H.264... another possible limitation is overheating due to higher CPU load...

On the first sight old tricks do not work but I didn't dig deeper into the firmware.

I'm using the camera as a long time photo time lapse camera every 2 min. The pictures are great but downloading the pictures via the app is very time consuming. Also there's no time schedule option so many pictures are taken in the night.
So if somebody can help me out that would be great.

It's just a script, it is possible with XYC.
                https://github.com/alex-agency/XYC

Think it's just a script based on crontab

Only enabling ftp/telnet would be great, getting really frustrating downloading 2k+ pictures with the IOS App.
              So somebody a suggestion?

                hi guys,
I have a yi lite with the latest firmware.
I wanted to know if any of you have a complete script to improve photos and videos.
in particular I have a micro sd samsung evo plus U3 and I wanted to know how I could do to increase the bitrate to increase the quality of the videos because I'm not very satisfied.

                Thank you!

                  Hi,

I don't have this cam. So, maybe someone who has one can check if any scripts work and answer your questions.

Hi guys, I have a problem with the firmware of my yi lite:
my camera doesn't update to 1.8.26(it doensn't reboot with the app nor asks to update when I put the bin on the root of the SD card, but it will downgrade if I put an older firmware there).
I noticed that all the old firmware where 33kb while the new one is 34.5kb, could this be the problem?
Could someone upload a working bin file?
                Thank you in advance!

This is how Yi Lite firmware is updated:
                    Code:
                    /home/bin/flash_eraseall /dev/mtd10 >/dev/null 2>&1
                    nandwrite -p -s 0 /dev/mtd10 /home/app/sd/ >/dev/null 2>&1
                    nandwrite -p -s 0x3100000 /dev/mtd10 /tmp/update_sd-fwhead.tmp >/dev/null 2>&1
'update_sd-fwhead.tmp' seems to be the fw file without the footer (last 100 bytes).
