    Hi,

Can you post a quick guide on the tools used to hack the FW on this camera,

this looks like a great camera to put a c-mount on.

    Thanks in advance

Sorry for replying this late. That was not a script but a custom fw. Unfortunately I've lost all of those data with my main HDD failure (stupid me not making backups). That's why this topic is not moving forward

    Hello Nutsey,
is it possible to get a script for the split 4k for more bitrate when recording? And the Flat/Log color profile?
    Many thanks in advanced

    Kind Regards,
    Daniel

Better fine details for improving FLAT/LOG profiles.

Shot at 1080p30 (HEVC, 60Mbps) with this great 4.35mm lens from Viofo: https://www.viofo.com/en/gitup-acces...git2gopro.html

The footages above were shot with the stock f2.8 lens.

A couple of raw 1080p60/HEVC video files with modified WDR enabled and FLAT/LOG-2 color profile:

Nice work! Really good in a low light - low noise. Nice lens - no notable distortion. Can you estimate the FOV compare to the stock lens?
And 12MP - you can build a High resolution dashcam! Some people interested to see the license plates from a long distance. (needed to increase the bitrate in 4KšŸ˜Ž)

And IMHO the AE jumping to much with every white car or when moving against the sun

Daylight test with 12Mp f2.0 lens and tweaked AE settings (note AE speed and highlights handling).

Having javascript disabled in 2019 isn't the right way to go. The web is based on modern technologies like HTML5, CSS3 and JS nowadays.

Manufacturers should send you test units too for the work you do. Also, can you do something to the site, I can't subscribe or edit posts with the javascript disabled...

Thank you! I don't have a Runcam 5 to compare with.
