  • Firefly 6S bricked - help wanted unbricking

    Hello,

I've got a Firefly 6S that's bricked. The logo appears briefly on startup but that's all the camera does at this point.
I'm not sure if this happened immediately after the update to version 2.3 (downloaded from https://s3.amazonaws.com/download.ap...2/FIREFLY6.BIN), but it was after this upgrade.
Of course, I've tried "downgrading" is, without success.

Is there an "easy" way to unbrick this camera? Or does it involves soldering etc like in post https://www.goprawn.com/forum/action...ocoo-c30-v1-0?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Luc

    Hi,
You can try recovering the loader. In order to do that you'll have to find LD96660A.bin (if not renamed) file for your model.
Donate here if you want to support my efforts and this site.

Email me if you have any offers, requests or ideas.

      Hi nutsey,

      thanks for your reply.
I tried finding the suggested file, but wasn't able to find one for Firefly.
So.. I downloaded (and installed) this file from this location http://metropolitanmonkey.com/firmwa...-m10-m10-wifi/
It's for the SJCAM M10+/SJ4000+, but is also named LD96660A.bin

      I think I shouldn't have done this
Now even the firefly logo doesn't appear

      regards,

      Luc

LuMat I did not mean that, but now you got to show us some soldering skills.
