H9se and h9Rse cams with GC4603 sensors can be upgraded to normal H9.
All you need to do is to buy an Omnivision OV4689 sensor module. It can be found here.
Then you disassemble your camera, swap the modules and reflash it with proper H9 firmware (according to the LCD type). Some pics are here.

Which is generally better for night / dark scenes ? GC4603 or OV4689 ?

The GC4603 has slightly smaller pixels (1.9μm vs 2μm) and less advanced technology. So, I'd expect this sensor to provide worse results in low light up to 1 EV.
